A Violent Week in Wilmington

In the middle of a violent week in Wilmington, a dear friend to many, James Dominguez, 25, was shot and killed. He was driving home from work around 5 p.m. when he was shot at the corner of PCH and Wilmington Blvd. No one seems to know why this happened.

This is a tragic event not only because he was so young, but also because his son is left without a father, and his parents are left without a son. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. James had a great smile and a charming personality that lit up any room. He was always the life of the party.

As of now, we don’t know of a suspect or a motive. This gun violence has been a problem in Wilmington for a long time. I only hope this does not set off a chain reaction of retaliation where more people are irrationally gunned down. Violence is not the answer!

Rest In Peace James, We love you!

So sad to hear about this. I have heard nothing but great things about this Angel. May he rest in peace and the Lord be with his family and son in this difficult time. My condolences.

The story is in the Daily Breeze now. Hopefully someone got a license plate number as PCH was packed at the time of the shooting.

My condolences to the family for their loss. I know your pain. God Bless.
