It started in 1988 as an idea in the Wilmington Community Advisory Board, and today it has become a reality. The community was out in full force celebrating the Grand Opening of the Wilmington Waterfront Park. This 30 acre park doubles the amount of park space in Wilmington! Make sure to stop by and enjoy Wilmington's new beautiful green space. Below are a few snapshots of the opening ceremony.
